Cookbook Club

California’s San Joaquin Valley is one of the most productive agricultural regions on Earth, and the ease with which we can cultivate food here is a gift. By gathering to explore the art and science of food, we nourish our roots and honor our agrarian heritage.
Our family is committed to organic, sustainable growing methods and earth-to-table traditions. These values guide our selection for each cookbook club gathering. This is an open, joyful, and judgment-free space where all are welcome.
Participants will enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage with additional glasses available for purchase.
Our selection this month is The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters. A copy is available at the Zinc House farm store for those who wish to browse and select a recipe without purchasing the book.
Once you look at the recipe book, please:
– Choose a recipe to experiment with and adapt it to your own taste.
– Bring samples of your dish, your copy of the cookbook (if you have one), and a notebook to the gathering.
– Prepare to share your creations and discuss our thoughts on food and agriculture.
