Experience the Winery

Clark Ferrea carries forward one of California’s original family wine legacies. From our home at historic Zinc House Farm, we craft wines sourced from distinctive vineyards across the state, each chosen for the character and integrity of its fruit.

The result is a portfolio that honors our legacy while moving it forward, shaped by a family whose roots run deep in California soil and whose eyes stay on the future.

Visitors to the winery can explore current releases, taste limited library selections, and see firsthand how tradition and innovation share a home under one roof.

We tasted, we loved, we committed!

What an amazing experience in the most unexpected locations…. We were immediately greeted by one of the stewards the second we walked up to the door. He greeted us with warmth and great enthusiasm. When we entered we couldn’t help but notice the beautiful architecture of the buildings and the rustic decor. It gave off a great amount of warmth mixed with some extra coziness… They had a great selection of wines and the stewards were all very welcoming and knowledgeable.
We loved our visit here so much that we decided to become members and will definitely be making many more visits ahead!

Explore Zinc House Farm

Zinc House Farm is a working landscape where art, agriculture, hospitality, and sustainability converge. What began as a Gold Rush–era waystation has grown into a thriving landscape of orchards, gardens, and open fields that reflect the rhythm of real California farming.

Each season brings something new to life: flowers in bloom, produce at the farm store, gatherings that bring neighbors and visitors together. The work here informs everything we do, from how we care for the land to how we welcome each and every guest.

Wooden crates filled with fresh produce, including apples, plums, and cucumbers, are displayed on shelves in a market. Other fruits and vegetables are visible with chalkboard labels, and dried lavender sits above.

Farming with Purpose

We rely on natural systems — composting, crop rotation, and native plantings — to keep the soil healthy and the farm resilient. Every bed, tree, and insectary contributes to a balanced ecosystem.

Where Art Meets Agriculture

Architecture and art shape the experience here. From the Shawcross sculpture that greets you to the sweeping arbor, we connect the working farm to California’s wider artistic and agricultural heritage.

Recipes from the Farm

Food and wine come together at the table. Recipes from the Farm are built from the crops grown here — vegetables, herbs, and fruit picked in season — and paired with Clark Ferrea wines. They demonstrate the way farming and winemaking complement one another, and how the harvest can be prepared in simple, generous dishes that highlight what grows best in Escalon.
